Common House spider
This spider and what seemed like its mate were found living in the bath plughole on our holiday home when we arrived last week.
We eventually evicted them and released them in our back garden in order to be rehoused somewhere other than our place. Their usefulness had been fulfilled by my macro lens, but the white bath made then files very small.
You can see he is carrying his dinner underneath his body. These things seem to weave a horizontal web low in the bath and I suppose can only catch flies which come in through the windows.

Lovely shot I like the detail which shows of well against the white background, yes this is the time of year for big spiders, well seen and taken

A superb macro shot showing some good fine details on him, right down to all the tiny hairs on his legs. The white background has certainly worked well. Well done.
