Overlooking the Cheviots with snow
This was taken recently from the B341 road which goes from Alnwick to Rothbury. There are a few place to pull in to take in the scenery. The Cheviot Hills mark the border with Scotland: a wild, romantic landscape of rounded hills and valleys.

A very nice landscape Helen, nice detail and natural looking colours, nice to see white snow too, all too easy to get the white balance wrong, but okay here. Well done.

Thank you Jeffrey for your comment.

Well composed landscape, well seen and taken

A super landscape Helen.
A nice contrast as the eye travels into the scene from a dusting of snow to green fields and then snow for real on the top of the Cheviots.
I love the farm house tucked on the right side but maybe if you had swung the camera a little to the right to include it more would have been better.
But still love it a smashing shot with a lot going for it, very well done for stopping and taking the shot.

Thank you Steve & George for your comments. I think at the time George I was concentrating more on getting the Cheviots with the snow, rather than getting more of the farmhouse.

I like the colours and detail in this Helen, the composition is good and the viewpoint lets us appreciate the scene for miles into the distance. Well seen and taken Helen.
