Certainly looks a dull day, well captured.I like the lead-in provided by the wall.
BillT  [Nov 18, 2009 at 03:43 PM]
Great image, got to agree with DD, the lead in is fantastic. Only alittle niggle, that is I am distracted by the smoke in the left hand background, but smashing image non the less
frog  [Nov 18, 2009 at 04:44 PM]
Yes I should have cloned the smoke out. It was like this all day and night I wonder what they burnt.
George  [Nov 18, 2009 at 05:09 PM]
I suppose the smoke could be a tad distracting but it's OK by me.
A smashing mono Chris with a geat lead if formed by the pier and ramp, well spotted, like it loads.
Silversnapper  [Nov 18, 2009 at 05:19 PM]
Agree with the above Chris, nice one.

I like this a lot and it look's familiar but just can't place it so can you tell where it was taken. As over the last 40 years i've fished most of the Scotish Lochs and shoreline.s and esturies.

The breakwater provides a very good lead-in and the fisherman gives it scale. Horizon spot on, too! I like the high contrast to this.
Merlynn  [Nov 18, 2009 at 11:38 PM]
Yes its a well composed, cracking mono image Chris, the lead in is excellent!, I also like the gritty look of this mono conversion, lovely capture!

This was taken at Cromarty.
Keith  [Nov 19, 2009 at 07:11 PM]
A very nice mono shot
Beermonsta  [Nov 20, 2009 at 06:52 PM]
I have to agree with Merlynn here, well taken and edited.
