Monkey hiding
I returned from Tanzania early this morning after summitting at Uhuru Peak (5895m) on Mount Kilimanjaro, Wednesday morning. This little fella was peering out at me on one of the early parts of the expedition. I'll be posting some more images from the mountain soon.

Looks like a very shy monkey, having tried photographing monkeys last year I know how hard and frustrating it can be and you have done well here to get good eye contact with the monkey, but unfortunately for me the foreground greenery is a bit distracting, Just my opinion of course, but it certainly lets us know that the monkey is in its natural surroundings. I am looking forward to seeing more Images from your trip.

What makes this special is that its natural; it's not in some enclosure somewhere. So you can't be to be too fussy with the conditions you get. Importantly you've got spot on eye contact and just a little of the nose and mouth. Once you've recovered from your trip, I think it's worth having a go at darkening down some the bright foliage especially on the right.

Well done on you achievement; very impressed. I got back early this morning after surviving a drive into the West End of London (and parking!); I thought that was a significant achievement but not quite in the same league as your climb.
