Massai shepherd boy enjoying an orange (with the skin still on!)
We had a lunch stop at the side of the "motorway" on our way through Tanzania to Kilimanjaro and we were surprised by a group of Massai shepherds, that were only young boys between 4 and 10 years old. Note the scars on his arm. They found us extremely interesting and were overjoyed when one of our party produced a bag of hard boiled lolly pops for them! I have a 6 year old son and I can't imagine him wandering the bush armed with a spear!

You have captured the boy very nicely Chris, I like the composition with part of the other boy in the background slightly out of focus, The Lighting has been very harsh for you but I think with a bit of toning down and editing you could improve what is already a good image.

Very different culture form what I've ever seen, Chris. Like Peter, I find the lighting quite harsh especially on the head and left shoulder.

A great candid shot here Chris. I especially like the various lines and diagonals formed by the position of the heads, sticks, arms and clothing. I wonder if the little boy has just had zest squirted into his left eye after biting the orange Good though it is I think the shot would benefit greatly with a little bit of TLC in the editing department to turn it into an excellent image Chris. Very well done sir!
